Today, I am honored and privileged to support this important campaign focused on a new space in Baltimore where young people will learn the skills and tools they need to capture, document, and write the stories of our time. It will be a place where connections will be made, community will be built, and lives will be changed. To make this happen, I ask you to....

Dream with us. After more than 23 years of learning, creating, and growing, the big picture for Wide Angle is getting even bigger. Wide Angle’s Studios at the Service Center will deepen our impact on students, the community, and the Baltimore region.

Build with us. We have a one-time opportunity to create the home of our dreams. Our new headquarters will feature a full production studio, community gathering area, art gallery, and office space for a growing staff. It will have cutting-edge technology, allowing us to work with students from their first interest to being ready for full-time work in professional media fields. Your support can help us build towards a new tomorrow, today.

Inspire with us. By contributing to the campaign for Wide Angle’s Studios at the Service Center, donors are investing in Baltimore’s youth for an entire generation. Over a 25-year lease period, Wide Angle Youth Media will prepare thousands of young people for success in college and careers.

Our First 5 Years in Focus

Our Studios will allow for needed programmatic and capacity growth:

• 12+ new staff positions
• growing programs through school system partnerships, pre- apprenticeships, new high school media tracks and middle school sites, & Baltimore County expansion
• a community hub for family events, town halls, & more
• launching a gallery to host event series and media residencies
• additional revenue streams, directing more funds to youth supports
• supporting advocacy efforts & training employers for a more diverse workforce

• 2,250+ program participants served
• 34,445+ hours of workforce training for apprentices & interns
• 3.5+ million live and virtual audience members across the world
• $1,750,000+ directly invested in youth through wages & stipends
