Empower Baltimore Youth Through Media Arts Education

Recently, I started teaching the high school video team at Wide Angle Youth Media. They just celebrated a year of hard work with a film screening event at MICA. Many students winning awards and securing job opportunities as a result of their productions.

At Wide Angle, Baltimore city youth are empowered through media arts education to cultivate and amplify their voice while securing a brighter future for themselves. Wide Angle students learn photography, graphic design, and video production while developing work ethic and entry level skills upon graduation. There are no words to describe the life experiences and dreams they share each class I've been privileged to be a part of. It has be some of my most fulfilling work.

This #GivingTuesday, give the gift of self-efficacy and help amplify youth voice:

• $10 covers a film festival submission for one youth video project.
• $25 pays a Youth Film Ambassador to present their work at a screening.
• $50 supports a teacher to attend a free educator training.
• $150 provides a free screening and discussion in a school or community organization.
